VL Studio is the most recent reintroduction of the lamps designed for Radiohuset (headquarters of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation) in the 1940s by architect Vilhelm Lauritsen. He designed the building itself – still a Copenhagen landmark – as well as the interior, and the Studio lamp was used outside the studios to indicate if a recording was taking place. VL Studio is closely related to the popular Radiohus Pendant, which is also made in triple-layered opal glass, providing a very comfortable light distribution and radiating a delicate glow to the surroundings.

The Wall version of VL Studio is true to its original materials and design and has only been modified slightly. It comes in classic polished brass with triple-layered, mouth-blown opal glass – as well as in a matt black version with a graphical and clean expression. The lamp shade can be tilted 90 degrees to the right or left, which allows for flexible light distribution and a customised light experience. With its simple aesthetic and exquisite materials, VL Studio Wall brings a modern touch to any interior.

Finish: Matt black, wet painted or brushed brass with fine hairlines. White opal glass, glossy.

Material: Glass: Mouth-blown, 3-layered opal glass, glossy.

Housing: Deep drawn aluminum or brass.

Wall box: Die cast aluminum or forged brass. Please note the untreated brass will patinate.

Mounting: Glass can be unscrewed to change the light source.

Cable type: Plastic cord. Black for black version and white on brass versions.

Cable length: 2.5 m.

Two options. With cable and on/off switch on cable or variant for mounting directly on power outlet with on/off on main switch.

Light source (not supplied): G9 (Max. 5W).

The adjustable lamp shade can be tilted 90 degrees to the right or left. The untreated brass will change over time and develop patina.
