    MR SIDE CHAIR Influenced by Marcel Breuer's use of tubular steel Ludwig Mies van der Rohe quickly recognized the compatibility of this revolutionary material with the contemporary design ethos. Inspired by the lines of tubular iron rockers designed in Europe during the mid-19th century Mies incorporated a new material and a new technology in the use of the cantilever principle.

    Materials: Frame made of tubular stainless steel in polished chrome finish. Rattan upholstery

    Dimensions: Width: 530mm x Depth: 825mm x Height: 790mm (Seat height: 460mm)

    Materials: Frame: Tubular polished chrome finish or epoxy painted onyx, white and dark red ultra matte.

    Upholstery: Rattan upholstery.

    Glides: Opaque plastic glides shipped with each chair for optional on-site insertion to use on hard floors.

    Note: in the red and black structure the screws are burnished and the glides are black. In the white structure the screws are galvanized and the glides are white.

    The KnollStudio logo and the signature of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe are stamped into the base of the chair.
