The Embrace Outdoor Lounge Sofa designed by EOOS is a flexible, modular design featuring a solid FSC-certified untreated teak frame and soft upholstery. A hand-woven flat rope back and armrests support soft upholstery in a range of earthy colours. The sofa is fully customisable and can be freely combined from seven standard modules. 

All pillows and cushions are upholstered in weather-resistant Agora Life textiles. Pillows come in six colours, while cushions are offered in three, all inspired by the Scandinavian landscape. The covers are fully removable for customisation and cleaning.

EOOS has been part of Carl Hansen & Søn’s collection for nearly 10 years, growing the Embrace Series into an extensive collection of both dining and lounge furniture for indoors and outdoors.

Now the outdoor collection is expanding with the new Embrace Outdoor Lounge Series comprising of a modular sofa and a lounge table crafted in untreated teak. Designed by EOOS, the Embrace Outdoor Lounge Series is characterised by its playful modularity and by perfectly balancing durable wood and soft textile.

The Embrace Outdoor Sofa encourages outdoor relaxation with its soft upholstery and laid-back composition while showcasing a contemporary idiom with its woven arm- and backrests and sturdy teak frame. The sofa is extremely flexible with its inherent customisable construction and textiles in six colours that can be combined, to personalise each sofa. The Embrace Outdoor Lounge Table has a clear kinship to the existing tables of the Embrace Series with its distinct steel construction and floating expression.

The back- and armrests of the Embrace Outdoor Sofa are hand-woven in outdoor flat rope. It takes a skilled weaver up to six hours to finish one backrest. Crafted in solid teak, the side table of the sofa almost floats above the frame and the wooden armrests are generously shaped for extra comfort and to be used as extra space to place a cup or a plate.

Like all Embrace Tables, the outdoor lounge table is inspired by kites and their distinct wires, which is reflected in the brushed stainless-steel construction anchored in the wooden base. The daisy pattern on the tabletop consists of 43 pieces of teak, meticulously cut, sanded and mounted to fit into the circular shape.

Both the lounge table and sofa are crafted from FSC™-certified untreated teak, which is a durable and highly weather-resistant wood type, perfect for the outdoors. Untreated teak has a dynamic and warm spectrum of colours, and, with time, it will gain a beautiful silver-greyish hue as it patinates.

The cushions and pillows of the Embrace Outdoor Sofa are upholstered with water-repellent Agora outdoor textile. Seat and back-cushions are available with Life, and Panama fabrics in the colours Oat, Hollin, and Alga. All fabrics are water-repellent.

The clean look of the cushions is perfect for coordinating with the textured pillows which can be mixed from the colours Oat, Hollin, Alga, Panama, Duna, Laguna, and Sand with reference to Scandinavian nature.

The upholstery on both cushions and pillows is easily removable, making it possible to be washed, repaired or replaced. Cold cured (CMHR) foam is used for the UK market to meet the fire regulations.
