3 Days of Design 2024
We certainly saw a lot of cool new furniture and lighting designs at this year's 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen. Detailed below is our second installment of what really stood out for us at the fair from brands Carl Hansen, Vitra, Audo Copenhagen and Hay.
It is the attention to detail and thinking outside of the box that really appeals to us. Hay used their creativity to produce their own very special, limited edition Carlsberg beer. Considering the design constraints put on them by Carlsberg, the end result was great, with 3 special designs being produced just for Hay's party at the Apollo.
Carl Hansen
Carl Hansen had a great display of new pieces as well as existing for both their indoor and expanding outdoor ranges.
They have a lovely showroom right in the Bredgrade area of Copenhagen, sitting alongside numerous stylish furniture and lighting stores.
There is also a great courtyard area, which is ideal for displaying the outdoor ranges. We tried the new Embrace Outdoor chairs, which are incredibly comfortable in true Embrace style. There was also a lovely new solid outdoor teak bench.
As it would have been Hans J Wegner's 110th birthday this year, Carl Hansen had a great display in their entrance as a homage to the Danish furniture designer, whom they worked with for numerous years and on numerous projects.
There were a couple of special edition pieces. The English Chair and the Spherical Bed. As well as a lovely Oak Mirror, a stunning Oak Sideboard and new extensions to the popular Sideboard range. New lighting collections by Opala were also displayed. It was great to catch up with the CH team, whom we have worked closely with for many years.

Andersen
Andersen are true craftsmen and we love their finishing touches.
This year we visited their brand new showroom which is right next door to Carl Hansen and was over several floors. Showcasing their storage solutions for the home as well as some great office conference tables.
They displayed alongside Muubs, which do lovely Scandi accessories.
Kvadrat
Next stop was a quick ride up to the industrial harbour region of Pakhus to see our friends at Kvadrat.
Their fabrics are gorgeous and they are such an environmentally aware company that they are a pleasure to work with. Innes are able to sell their fabrics in the UK, we are pleased that most Scandi furniture brands also use their iconic fabrics.
As well as seeing new ranges, we were educated on their Conscious Design Principles and ReThink project.
Vitra
Vitra were showing their new environmentally conscious concept sofa called ANAGRAM- which is launching later this year.
ANAGRAM is a modular and flexible sofa concept that had the development goals of; separability of materials, modularity, ease of disassembly, repairability & understated design.
Nothing is glued, laminated or foamed. This allows manufacturing from recycled materials where possible and can be easily separated and recycled at the end of the product's life cycle.
Audo Copenhagen
Audo Copenhagen, formerly Menu, are now part of the Flos B&B Italia Group and we are excited about starting to re-work with them again.
We some lovely new lighting and side tables, as well as line extensions for the Brasilia range.
Their Eave sofa has been extended to add beautifully curvaceous sections - called EAVE SEAMLESS.
A new lighting hanging system was launched along with the cool new TUBULAIR pendant in bronze finish.
Audo Hotel
The stunning reception area showcases their range of contemporary furniture, lighting & accessories.
